Dr Amar Basra is a GP partner and trainer based in a large, urban practice. He has a special interest in cardiology, alongside a strong focus on teaching, mentoring, and practice management. He is passionate about supporting clinicians at all stages of their careers and has been actively involved in the education of his multidisciplinary team.

Dr Basra graduated from St George’s, University of London, with a BSc and MBBS. Coming from a non-medical background, he experienced first-hand the challenges of entering medicine without prior connections or insider knowledge. These experiences have shaped his down-to-earth and supportive approach to teaching.

He believes the most effective education comes from those who genuinely understand their subject and the practical realities of clinical work—not from those simply reading off slides. Through his company, Dr Basra is committed to delivering engaging, relevant, and accessible training that empowers healthcare professionals to grow in confidence, skill, and leadership.

Dr. Jeevan is a GP based in Birmingham, UK, an award-winning public health speaker, and one of the visionary founders of AscentMed.

As a practising clinician, Jeevan understands the challenges GP trainees face—especially when juggling revision with real-world responsibilities. He brings years of teaching and clinical experience into every AscentMed course.

Prior to founding AscentMed, Jeevan pioneered the edtech platform MasterQ, a GCSE learning tool now widely used by secondary schools across the West Midlands, UK. His passion for education and innovation has helped thousands of students and professionals reach their potential.
